    You will start your journey by heading towards the archeological site of the Acropolis. With your child-friendly state-licensed guide the whole family will explore Athens’ most impressive site with its glorious monuments, while taking in the stories and myths of the past. The children will be intrigued by the story-telling, while at the same time the whole family will be able to see the stories come to life thanks to the specially designed iPad mini augmented reality capabilities. Your guide will provide each member with one such iPad at the site. Notes & Clarifications •Prices vary according to group size •Afternoon starting time is available from May to September •Since this is a walking tour you will need to be wearing comfortable shoes, a hat and sun-block. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle and lots of energy! •Keep in mind that this is a private tour and it is possible to customize it to meet your desires. Die private Akropolis Führung war Dank unseres Begleiters Stelios war großartig! Er hat es verstanden, die Führung abwechslungsreich und spannend für unsere Kinder und uns gestaltet, und es gelang ihm durch sein großes Wissen immer wieder auf unsrere Fragen gut einzugehen, und auch spannende Geschichten zu den unterschiedlichsten Aspekten einzuflechten. An dieser Stelle sei Stelios noch einmal ganz besonders gedankt :-)! Wir hatten die Mini-Ipads dazu gemietet, und diese waren die perfekte visuelle Ergänzung unserer Tour, und zeigten uns perfekt umgesetzte 3D Szenarien der Akropolis zur Zeiten ihrer Hochblüte! Wir waren die einzigen mit den Ipads, und andere Besucher versuchten öfter auch einen Blick darauf zu erhaschen ;-)! Absolut zu empfehlen!

We recently took two tours with Athens Insiders with our two children (age 4 & 8) – we enjoyed both the Acropolis Tour (2 hours) and the Treasure Hunt for kids (4 hours). We are history buffs and Petros provided a lot of interesting insights on the different sights at the Acropolis. He was very thoughtful and engaging with our 8 year old son who loves Greek myths. For us it was the perfect amount of time with the young kids and also still adjusting to the time change from the US. Petros also led us to Plaka and provided a useful tip on a nice spot to have lunch. Later on our trip we went on the longer 4 hour Treasure Hunt tour which was a lot of fun for the kids and adults alike. It was a fun, creative and engaging way to see the city and learn about the culture. Both kids really enjoyed it and each stop was interesting and unique – not just your typical tourist shops. Our son really loved solving the clues and Niki was a great guide. She was excellent with the kids and was able to quickly adjust the tour based on how the kids were doing. She was very good at reading the mood of the group. I would highly recommend both tours!
