The meal was the best part. As for seeing lights or anything for that matter, it wasn’t good. We saw more during the day. The guide left a lot to be desired.

Honestly I think we probably had a guide who was filling in for someone else who usually did it! He was a young guy, student age, who spoke in a monotone as if he was reading from a script. Several times he referred to “stuff” and spoke about things we were passing on the bus that we couldn’t see eg the Library buildings not lit up, several Gardens and statues he said “ come back and see in the daytime”! We were taken to The Acropolis and the Original Olympic Stadium ( which had an event on so couldn’t get very close to photograph!), but nothing else of value. The dinner and show however were lots of fun. Authentic music and Greek dancing and even plate smashing ????. The food was a modest set menu, but good quality and tasty. The entertainment staff made a good job of getting the audience involved, which saved the Tour. Next time I’ll just go for dinner!

Drive thru lights of Athens was very pretty. 20+ year old group leader told us we would just have a “short” walk to dinner from the bus, oh maybe 6 or 7 blocks! To a 20 something, no sweat. To an 80 year old with a heart condition may mean death, especially when the 6or 7 blocks turn into all uphill. Can’t recommend this tour to older people.
