Hop on Hop off is the best way to do on the first day of your visit to Athens. The bus will take you around Athens and stop where you want to familiarize the city.

Interesting site seeing trip that covers Athens city & the outskirts. Buses are frequent & lots of stops. Staff were very helpful at the various stops. The commentary could have been better. There was too much music in between. Some of the buses didn't have the roof off which was a shame.

Wir empfehlen grösste Vorsicht - am Nachnmittag werden Angebote wortreich verkauft, die dann gar nicht mehr wahrgenommen werden können, weil die Busse nicht mehr fahren. Wenn man die Verkäufer zur Rede stellt, wird man aufs Übelste beschimpft. Das war, in der sonst tollen Stadt, eine absolut unterirdische Erfahrung. Da hätten wir mit einer Taxirundfahrt Geld und jede Menge Ärger gespart.
