A stadium was built on the site of a simple racecourse by the Athenian statesman Lykourgos (Lycurgus) c. 330 BC, primarily for the Panathenaic Games.The stadium was excavated in 1869 and hosted the Zappas Olympics in 1870 and 1875. The Viator tour I booked for 4 people was called ' Full Day Private Shore Excursion Ancient Corinth and Athens Must See". Our guide, Dimitri was excellent. He was knowledgeable, personable and took good care of us. We went to Corinth, Acropolis and many other places in a private vehicle. So much more comfortable than a bus with lots of people. We ate at a wonderful true Greek restaurant that he recommended. We were very tired at the end of the day but felt like we had seen the highlights of Athens.

Excursion was excellent the tour guide was very informative , we changed the excursion to go also to Corinth for an additional $150.00 euros and it was well worth it.I highly recommend this company, Michael Our tour guide did a great job
