The archeological site of Olympia is breathtaking and awe-inspiring. The entrance to the archeological site looks like a passage into space-time. It is a place to be visited, at least once in a lifetime! On this trip we will see many great things, including a museum that houses the most beautiful sculpture of antiquity. This experience is not a walk in monuments, with monologues like teaching. It's soul rebirth and real acquaintance with Greece! I think it is wonderful to fill images and emotions! For us that will be the goal!

    First stop is the Canal of Corinth. It is a canal that was finally built in 1890, although the idea of its passage already existed from 602 BC. The view from here is breathtaking.

  • Archaeological Site of Olympia, Olympia, Greece
    Olympia was established in Greece as the most important religious and sports center. Here were born the most important games of ancient Greece, the Olympics, which took place every four years in honor of Zeus, an institution with pan-Hellenic radiance and brilliance from antiquity to the present day. The archeological site of Olympia, one of the largest in the country, gave us one of the richest sets of monuments and works of art, such as Hermes of Praxiteles. Here we will see, in addition to the stadium (45,000 seats), the temples of Hera and Zeus, the Philippion, the Council house, the laboratory of Feidias and the Museum.

    After a dip in history, we will go for a dip in one of the most beautiful beaches of the Peloponnese, located near ancient Olympia. There we will also have lunch before our return to Athens. (Swimming on the beach, concerns the summer months)

Long drive but great reward to see the Olympic stadium. Pan was a great guide and took us to a seaside restaurant that was the best meal I had in Greece.

This was such a wonderful tour that we enjoyed with Pan. He is an excellent story teller and was able to share all the Greek myths as well as the true history. We learned . The site is awe-inspiring. We went to lunch at the most wonderful place at the beach with the most amazing food and view. We was swimming in really clear and blue ocean. We didn't want to ever leave. We were surprised this was open to the public and only a few local people were there. We enjoyed every minute and would tell any one to book this tour. Pan was wonderful and made the trip even better.

It was a special trip with a great guide and excellent companion. I would recommend visiting with a small party despite the extra cost. It meant better interaction with the guide and a chance to develop a relationship with someone new.
