After your pick-up from your hotel, we are heading towards Monastiraki square, a can’t-miss spot of the city of Athens.We cross the Monastiraki square and we get closer to the Ancient Agora of Athens, which was the heart of ancient Athens.Today it’s one of the city's most important archeological sites. Not only you will get to see the most well preserved classic temple, dedicated to Volcan, but you will have the chance to step in a Stoa or portico, that houses the findings of the site today. Later on, we come back to Monastiraki square and through Mitropoleos street, we are going to have a taste in the most “trendy” Agora of Athens, ERGON House. Here, we are going to explore a modern market with food products of small, independent, honest, food artisans. This is the right place to promote Greek gastronomy and this is the right place to taste the authentic Greek cuisine Our tour will finish at around 13:00 and your professional guide will accompany you to your location.

We had a great time with Theodora. She was on time to meet us, very friendly and relatable. We chose to walk to the Agora and got to spend time getting to know Theodora and the area. It was quite fun to learn about her as we walked. The best part of this tour was the ancient Agora and the knowledge our tour guide provided, I wish we had more time in the museum. In the Modern Agora we had a fabulous lunch. A few notes - if shopping is not part of your interest in the modern Agora -simply say so. We ended up in a Jewellery shop - we were open to it but I can tell that others may be put off. (I got a lovely new ring to celebrate our anniversary) Our lunch was way more than a tasting - with wine and large portions. We were asked if we would record a video review and absolutely agreed to help - we had a wonderful experience but we can't say this is the usual event. As stated, the knowledge of our tour guide was the most impressive part of the tour. But we had a great time shopping, snacking and learning.
