Discover authentic, fresh, traditional food in non tourist, hidden spots of the City! Food and places you may not find alone! Visit local streets where we see, taste and shop for cheese, cured meat, fruits, sweets and spices in markets of colour, scents and noise. Taste olives, oil and honey from a farmer and local wine made on site. 4.00pm tours will see ΜΟST of the market as it starts to close. Sundays the markets ARE SHUT so we visit a taverna and eat traditional food with ouzo and local wine. Visit a delicatessean and a spice shop and a producer of olive oil and honey. You will also enjoy Greek coffee and yogurt from a local producer. 20+ tastings offered including sit down meals of meat and fish on all tours. Learn about Greek culture and meet with the locals. Vegetarian, vegan, GF options available. Vegan not available on Sundays. Discounted childrens rate offered.     We will visit the meat, fish, spice and fruit markets and see how Athenians do their daily shopping. We will meet the traders and sit down and eat a meal close to the market. On Sundays we do not visit the markets as they are shut so we visit a honey and olive oil producer for a tasting.

I have done lots of food tours with Viator all over the world, this without doubt was the best one ever. Fantastic value for money and Mike was just the most charming and engaging guide, born in Athens and obviously knows it like the back of his hand. We loved it, all the places he introduced us to were great and so many tastes! On our tour we had a family from Australia and a charming couple from the USA. When I return to Athens with my partner I will do it all again! Thanks so much - Georgina and Luca
