During the afternoon hours you will get to enjoy breathtaking sunset over the Aegean Sea, Cape Sounio and Temple of God Poseidon! Cape Sounio is located located 70 kilometres south-southeast of Athens, at the southernmost tip of the Attica peninsula in Greece. Sounion is noted as the site of ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea in classical mythology. The remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea. According to legend, Cape Sounion is the spot where Aegeus, king of Athens, leapt to his death off the cliff, thus giving his name to the Aegean Sea. The myth says that King Aegeus, anxiously looking out from Cape Sounion, devastated when he saw a black sail on his son Theseus's ship, returning from Crete. This led him to believe that his son had been killed in his contest with the dreaded Minotaur, a monster that was half man and half bull. The tour can start any time that you wish. Great experience. Cape sounio is a must see when in Athens. Our driver was great, polite and knowledgeable and the communication with the agent in private tours Greece was exceptional. I will surely book again with this agency

You really only go to the Temple… we never got off to walk the Athenian Riviera, we saw the lake only from the out side parking lot, and our tour guide was very quiet making the king car ride boring and awkward at times.
