We had a great time! I didn’t bring enough money for tips and food. The guy who took us on the ATV ride was fantastic! The camel ride was a novel experience! The camel has the weirdest movement when it walks. The guy leading that didn’t speak English and we didn’t have much conversation. The JetSki guys were wonderful. The only way that could’ve been better would be if the sun has been shining. I don’t think the fog cleared up all day. The hammam was another amazing and novel experience! Being scrubbed with a sandpaper like glove was different. I think my skin is a little too sensitive for that part.
The following are the things I suggested to the tour company for improvement:
1: Identify yourself better when you contact the first time with WhatsApp. Name and company or activity.
2: With the first contact, let me know when you will contact me again so that I know when I will find out about the pick up from the hotel. (They seem to do most of their contact around midnight. Don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from them until then!)
3: Remind me to bring money for lunch and give me a rough estimate of how much I will need… (We spent 600 MAD on a huge lobster lunch at the beach! That was amazing, by the way! We only ate about half of it.)
4: Have the guides introduce themselves. How can I compliment them if I don’t know their names?
5: Remind me to bring money for other people to take photos and for a little bit of shopping at the Hamam.
Overall, we really enjoyed the experience! If I hadn’t read the evaluation of your company ahead of time, I would’ve been much more concerned about the initial contact. It’s definitely something you need to work on, at least for Americans.
I hope this helps. Thank you again! This was another memorable day in Morocco!
