If you have ever dreamed of seeing Killer Whales (Orca) in the wild then this is the Expedition to join. Our Bremer Canyon Killer Whale (Orca) Expeditions is the only experience available in Australia specifically for you to see Killer Whales in the wild. Step on board our luxury 23 metre Catamaran which is the most stable Whale Watching Vessel on the Southern Ocean guaranteeing you a safe and comfortable trip. We offer a delicious gourmet lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea, all freshly prepared by the Wellstead Museum Cafe. You will be joining the original operators of the Bremer Bay Killer Whale Expeditions.

    Encounter an astonishing aggregation of marine wildlife on an unforgettable oceanic expedition. From January to April, our full day expeditions visit one of the least explored places on earth, and the only place in Australia you can reliably encounter killer whales. Your expedition may see pods of long-finned pilot whales, sperm whales, a rare beaked whale or blue whale. You can also admire the acrobatics of large pods of bottlenose, striped, and common dolphins, and encounter shark species that include great whites, whaler sharks, and the beautiful oceanic blue, a species never seen from shore. Enormous oceanic sunfish surface, and the remains of giant squid sometimes float on the surface, a predator of the deep reduced to scraps, squabbled over by an astonishing array of pelagic seabirds including albatross, shearwater and petrel species. On board each expedition we have a qualified Marine Biologist & Photographer (Access to images) Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is included in your expedition which is prepared by the local Wellstead Cafe and Museum Please advise us if you have any special dietary requirements.

. The entire outing was extremely well organised with amazing attention to detail. The check in, the initial briefing, the self serve coffee and drinks, the served high quality finger foods, the scientific information, the friendly assistance when unwell, the blankets on the weather deck were all smooth and effective. The boat was modern, attractive, beautifully maintained and had great sea keeping qualities that minimized the likelihood of illness. There were guests on board who were taking up the free offer because no orcas were seen the day before and there were guests on board because the weather forecast required the next two days to be cancelled. How good is that? But best of all, the crew kept us at sea almost till dusk to maximize our chances of seeing Orcas. And we did. 50 of them in a beaked whale feeding frenzy. Spouts, breaches, you name it; we saw it. And the staff provided great photos on line for us to collect later. MARVELOUS

I get seasick so I came prepared. Took equivalent to travel calm but pharmacy brand tablets just before boarding then again at lunch. Didn’t feel sick at all! YAY!! Lots of others did:( My daughter felt I’ll within the first 15 minutes. Took a few hours for the medication to kick in but enjoyed it after that:) The staff were fantastic. Couldn’t do more to help you. The captain left the doors open and happy to chat and answer questions. Marine Biologist Jenna was lovely as well as very informative and professional. Although we didn’t see Orca, as very late in the season, the offer to come again for free in the next 2 years suits us as we are only about 4.5 hours away. Nothing when it’s a once in a lifetime experience!! There is however a catering fee of $50 per person which we didn’t know about. This being said, the food was great and plenty of it. Will definitely try again next year. Only deducted one star because we didn’t see an orca. The crew did all they could. Well done Naturaliste Charters ****
