The setting is breathtakingly beautiful and the cast outstanding. Even though it rained (actually bucketed) we enjoyed the entire experience. The rain engendered a sense of camaraderie between performers & audience. The performers were not daunted by the downpour & we celebrated their professionalism & resilience. We could recommend the show to everyone.

Madama Butterfly was performed outside on Sydney Harbour across from the Opera House. You had a good view of the Opera House as you were walking to your seats. It was very well done with subtitles easy to read. The night we went it was a bit windy. I would suggest taking a wind breaker or something to keep you warm.

Rain downpour at intermission and left. Watching set change was the most interesting. Lost umbrella between seats.
