We did a wine tasting with Alex who had excellent knowledge of the wines and the area. The building itself is amazing with lots of history. We only chose to do a few tastings in the Barossa area due to time restraints, and we were very glad we chose Chateau Tanunda. Shipping wine home was easy & only $15 to Sydney. Most of the wines in the set tasting selection were spot on with our likes, with Alex an extra 1 or 2 as he discovered what we were looking for. Lovely relaxing hour!

Wow! An absolute gem of an impromptu visit. We were doing a self guided Barossa Valley tour and saw Chateau Tanunda sign posted. A bit of research told us about their tours and tastings. We couldn’t book on line so took a chance at cellar door and asked for a tour. They could fit us in a couple of hours later so, we explored elsewhere and came back for a thoroughly enjoyable tour, some history and a delicious wine tasting. They could not have been friendlier or more accomodating. Needless to say we left with a couple of bottles purchased at cellar door. A great experience in everyway. ????

This really worth a visit! Beautiful Chateau & grounds - great atmosphere. Great history. Our wine tasting host was Vickie........ knowledgeable & a lovely lady. Wines were pretty good as well..
