An exceptional region The Châteauneuf-du-Pape region enjoys a wide range of soils, and particularly large rolled pebbles (diluvium alpin) above red clay, allowing the grapes to reach a very high degree of maturity. Well aware of the value of their heritage, the winemakers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape have committed themselves over the past few years to an approach aiming at defining and reinforcing the identity of their appellation, particularly through the different local areas and the diversity of grape varieties.

Anne was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgable about the region and all of our stops had great wine. She brought us through a few great photo spots as well! Would recommend!

What a great day. Weather was perfect and the people at the three wineries we visited were very happy to see us and shared their knowledge and wine. The best part of the excursion was Kelsy, our guide. She was engaged, enthusiastic and generous. She also went far beyond expectations in terms of her knowledge of the various sites we experienced. Highly recommend!

Natalie met us at the tourist office and we we were the only ones that booked that day, so it ended up being a private tour for the 3 of us! She gave us some history of Avignon on the drive and then we stopped at 3 different places: a wine shop in Gigondas, a tasting room in the town of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and then a winemaker's home. All of the wine was great - I think we ended up with 15 tastings! - and we bought a bottle at each place. We brought our own snacks and water, which I'd recommend.
