Imagine pure, crystal-clear water cascading down from the great Caucasus Mountains, winding its way through the lavish land in the foothills of the valley and suffusing the sun-bathed vines. These ripe, abundant grapes are then collected and handled with care and love before being transformed by the apparent magic of a master into wine. This is what happens every year in the Savalan valley. Tour Schedule: 8:00 – pick up from any address within Baku 10:30 – tea break (Samovar tea) with local baklava 11:30 – short break at Nohurgol lake 12:15 – be in Savalan – vineyards, wine cellar, wine museum, wine-tastings with snacks 14:15 – finish with winery 14:30 – local lunch 15:30 – leave to Baku 19:00 – be in Baku

I have really enjoyed the tour with all its details.The facility, the team who hosted us and the tasting. What I really enjoyed the most was the company of Mr. Nasimi. A professional tour guide with excellent knowledge about wine and the history of Azerbaijan in general. All the stops we had on our way and the food/tea were amazing. I really recommend this tour with Mr. Nasimi and the driver Mr. Ali.

So glad we took Nasimi's Wine Tour! Nasimi is a very kind, knowledgeable and passionate guide and made sure we were well fed with delicious local cuisine and plenty of Qabala wine. The scenery was fantastic, the vehicle clean and comfortable and the driver Ilham was very capable in the traffic and geography. This tour totally added a special new dimension to our Azerbaijan visit!

Nasimi took us on a wonderful tour of the Savalan Winery in Azerbaijan. We were very impressed not only with his wine knowledgeable but also the sophistication of the Savalan winery- a relatively new facility. Because Savalan worked with Italian winemakers to develop their wine, we were very familiar with their varietal wines. They set up a wonderful private tasting in their beautiful tasting room and allowed us to taste a large variety of wines, We purchased two bottles, one a grappa, that we found to be the smoothest grappa we had ever tasted. We are from California, so that says a lot. On the way, we stopped at a lovely lake and were serenaded by an ude player and tasted some delicious paklava. We also stopped for a deliciuos late lunch at a beautiful outdoor restaurant by a river. We highly recommend Nasimi!
