This tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guide, Amelia, was incredibly kind and attentive throughout the entire trek. She shared helpful tips and made sure everyone felt comfortable. The route itself was stunning, with breathtaking views and just the right level of challenge. If you're looking for a memorable outdoor adventure with a guide who truly cares, this is the one. Highly recommended!

The Mistérios Negros hike was our favorite part of the trip to Terceira! The natural scenery throughout the trail was stunning and unique, and having to occasionally use both hands and feet to get past obstacles made the experience even more fun. Our guide, Amélia, was very patient, she always gave us a heads-up when there were slippery or unstable spots, and her explanations about the island were both engaging and informative. She brought great energy to the whole journey. We took part in three tours with Azores Nature Tours during our stay in Terceira, and every single one of them was perfect! :)

The hiking trail is very nice, but mega strenuous (or rather annoying), as more than half walk on a very narrow path over tree roots and lava stones, where you have to constantly look where you are stepping and sometimes you have to go up and down over large stones. Overall very beautiful nature and we took 2 hours from the parking lot at Lagoa Negra as a circular hike (just over 5 km).
