Exuma Island Hopping & Swimming Pigs Tour with Lunch from Nassau

Crew was amazing! Great music! Amazing sights and activities as well as food. I loved feeding the iguanas and swimming pigs as well as swimming with the nurse sharks! I would do it again!

If this isn’t a Five Star tour, then I don’t know what else on Earth is! The tour itinerary is so well planned, they waste no time in between taking you to only the best of the best on Exuma Cay islands. The trip takes you to an island populated with iguanas (feeding experience), playing with docile sharks, the most photogenic spot on Earth where even the worst photo taken of yourself in a bikini will be Instagram worthy (trust me), the iconic swimming with the pigs, a delicious all you can eat local buffet, snorkeling by a fallen plane. And in between these stops are just endless spectacular views of turquoise and aquamarine Caribbean ocean you just take in for hours. They point out celebrity-owned private islands. The crew checks in on you every now and then to see if you need anything. If you are on vacation by yourself like myself, the crew will take photos/videos of you, help you with the feeding experience. ~ I wish they shared their tips with the guys on the pig island. The guys on the pig island were so nice. Though the cow sized adult pigs were a bit much for me. I learned that they are highly intelligent animal having such an obvious hierarchy of power (the biggest and the fattest is the bully the steals all the carrots, the smaller and weaker ones making a concentric circle around the human with food in his hands). These fat pigs know to approach an arriving boat, eager to be fed crumbs. ~ I would like to have known that the swim from the boat, where you are given the choice to dive off the deck to swim with the pigs to the beach, probably was no more than 25-30 feet (a typical swimming lap pool is 25 ft), but without proper goggles (sunglasses) and all these beasts circling me, felt way longer than that (and the water is saltier than I imagined when I accidentally swallowed a bit) and stressful. Also, there is a water current that I had to swim against while snorkeling around the fallen plane, that holding onto a straw tube turned out more necessary than I thought. I don’t think it was the best spot for snorkeling (not too much fish, but I got to see needle fish for the first time!), but then the tour wouldn’t have been complete without it! Again, experience the heaven on Earth! The Exuma Cays are so gorgeous (that Nature is enough to take your breath away) and this tour takes you to the best of the best!

This is a day trip you don’t want to miss. You get Bahamian culture and an incredible, traditional lunch, amazing guides, the most spectacular water in every shade of blue (will never forget that and pictures won’t do it justice!), a very fun boat ride with great music, and tons of experiences with pigs, nurse sharks, iguanas, and other sea life, too. The snorkeling over Escobar’s plane was really neat! And the refreshments of all types were readily available throughout. This trip was never boring! The guides made sure of that. They even made sure to take us to all of the places they had promised despite being on a shorter schedule due to incoming storm. And, they put our safety first. They also had a great sense of humor and were really engaged with our group the whole time. There are a lot of reviews online about different pig trips. This site is the original and they seem to take good care of the pigs. They do roam free and they greet you when you arrive. There are a lot of them including piglets which are very cute. It was a little chaotic but still worth it to see them. It is a long boat ride out to the islands and back but worth it. This was the perfect day for our family. I would highly recommended. Our guides were Navarro (Novato. ?), TJ, and Joey. Ask for them for your tour on the Jalapeño. They were the best!
