We run Whale watching group tours four times a week in the mornings and afternoons. Every Friday we conduct our special tour for the early risers - the Sunrise Whale Tour, something special and unique in Cabo.

    Cabo is known as one of the best places in the world to study and encounter Whales of all species. Salty Cabo Excursions offers the most comprehensive Whale Watching tour in San Jose del Cabo. Our multilingual marine enthusiasts will share endless knowledge about the local area as well as the abundant Marine Life of Baja. As an Ocean Lover and marine enthusiast, I would like to pass on a bit of this passion to make this world a better and more sustainable place and provide memories to last a lifetime. Each year, Humpback Whales and Gray Whales migrate down to the warm waters of the Sea of Cortez for their annual mating ritual. The whale watching season starts on the 15th of December and ends on the 15th of April. Away from the boat crowds, we will take the time to observe the natural behaviors of these mammals, at the same time enjoying the breathtaking displays of mothers and calves, and/or competitive males. Something you will never forget.

So cool!!! I learned so much about whales. Tour guide Paola was very informative. Views were gorgeous and we got lucky and saw whales at the end of the season! The underwater microphone was so neat, whales really do sing. Absolutely recommend!

Sofia was an AMAZING guide. She educated us on all things WHALE - we learned a lot from the tour. I could tell how passionate she is about the whales, and got a little emotional with her as she got emotional when we got our amazing whale sighting. We got LOTS of breaching moments, mating pairs, mommy and baby... it was the most magical moment. I will never forget this trip and have been recommending this tour to all my friends! I am also VERY afraid of boats and being out on open water, so at first I was very nervous and anxious. The captain was very skilled and once we set sail and listened to Sofia's stories, my anxieties melted away. We felt that the fact that our boat was small made this experience so much more special. Never had another body or head blocking your view. It was intimate and everyone was there relishing in the magical presence of these amazing creatures.

As it was late in the whale watch season we were told a 50/50 chance of sightings. We blew past that within minutes on the water. Woo-hoo! Pauola was exceptional as our guide. She was knowledgeable and passionate about her work. So much fun to be around and worked well with our Captain, who skillfully guided his boat for close-up and respectful viewing. The hydrophone was a treat. Can’t say we get to listen to whale talk everyday. All-in-all, a wonderful and enlightening experience.
