    Bellies happy, we flit to our next destination: Besakih Temple, Bali's thousand-year-old 'Mother Temple' perched 1,000 metres high on the southwestern slopes of Mount Agung. It is meant to be the island's largest holy site divided into three main complexes, each dedicated to the Hindu trinity.

The temple tour is very interesting and you get to see a lot more of the island as a result. Views from the Mother Temple are stunning. Big thank you to Putu our driver and guide for his support and help during a great day.
