I got to know about this tour company from a YouTube video before we planned our itinerary for Bali. So I went to their website and chatted with them to enquire more. They even provided me with a Whatsapp-able number so that I can be in touch with them at anytime. That's so thoughtful!
So, we booked the Kintamani tour and it was a well-spent whole day affair with our amazing tour guide, Agus. He co-owns this tour company with his brother. He is super friendly and polite, and speaks really good English too. We felt so lucky to have him as our tour guide.
Our tour costs USD 45. Side note, you can also customize your own tour and spend as much (or as little) time as you wish at certain spots. Totally, totally flexible!
0815: pick-up from hotel in Seminyak
(Nice and comfy SUV, mineral water provided)
0930: Barong and Kris Dance
(We left early, it was interesting, but too lengthy)
1045: Balinese Traditional House
(Very interesting and there's a family that lives there, not just an empty tourist house, friendly residents and pets)
1130: Tirta Empul Temple
(Agus brought along sarong for us, must wear for both male and female who wants to visit this temple. Very, very fascinating to see the cleansing rituals)
1230: Kintamani Coffee Plantation
(Went through a quick course about coffee production and savoured 12-glasses of complimentary mini teas and coffees, yums!)
1400: Kintamani Batur Volcano
(Beautiful view for lunch! Buffet lunch of halal food, across from the majestic volcano and a slightly more shy Mt. Agung)
1600: Besakih Temple
(This was the highlight! Biggest Hindu temple in Bali and we got to witness some rituals as there was a festival that day, learnt so much!)
2000: back at hotel (traffic jam on the way back, we managed to nap during the 2hrs+ journey home)
Very well worth the time and money spent for this tour. We will definitely book them again for other tours when we return to Bali.
Terima kasih, Agus! We enjoyed the tour so much!
