Ipoh is the capital city of the Malaysian state of Perak. Located by the Kinta River, it is nearly 180 km north of Kuala Lumpur, about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur.     Tempurung Cave (Gua Tempurung) is a cave in Gopeng, Kampar District, Perak, Malaysia, located within the Kinta Valley Geopark. It is popular among spelunkers, or caving enthusiasts. More than 3 km long, it is one of the longest caves in Peninsular Malaysia. Part of it has been developed as a show cave with electric lighting and walkways. A fine river cave, the river passage runs about 1.6 km through the hill. There are three very large chambers and some spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.

Although Ipoh was a city 2 hours away from Kuala Lumpur, we did enjoy the tour. We booked on a weekend but the operator advised if possible to book on a weekday as the traffic will be bad since we had no.of booking with this company. Hence we went on a working day where the traffic was clear. Overall satisfied.
