We purchased 12 hours as our plane landed just after midnight on October 26 from Sabah, Malaysia via Malaysian Airlines.
We we departed KL around noon on October 26 via Eva Airlines.
Malaysian Airlines from Sabah to KL is a domestic flight and one must check for international flight to take tram to International terminal.
We flew out of KL to Taipei on Eva Airlines but the Eva Airlines counter was closed until 9 AM so we could not get on the tram to the international terminal and therefore to the lounge until about 10 AM or just over 2 hours before our flight to Taiwan.
In addition, I was very impressed with the KL lounge 3 years ago and this is why we booked without for this trip.
We had difficulty finding the lounge despite going to the airport information kiosks twice.
I have a question. Check your records because there may be two lounges at the KL airport. The lounge we finally went to was a big step down from the one experienced 3 years ago.
In addition to a significant drop in snack quality the men’s toilet was out of order.
I presented our purchase papers to the lounge we visited and the told us this was the lounge but later I read there may be a “premium “ lounge more like we experienced 3 years ago.
So that was my experience. I understand you have no control over Eva Airlines counter hours but you could have a warning about ticket counter hours in the domestic terminal and tram access to the international terminal and your lounge.
