I do remember the airport of Den Pasar, Bali, as a small road-like airstrip, even there was grass on the runway. Always a happening to land here with a view of the approaching ocean and Bali on the horizon. Ok, the passport check sometimes took hours and hours. The smell of the tropics, the smoke of the Kretek cigaret and the herbal scents made up for that. Now it is the world's third best airport, that is told. Still same location in Tuban. Kuta and Jimbaran are very close, I love this airport!!!
