    Tirta Empul is an important temple complex and holy mountain spring, located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. The site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil. It is also a national cultural heritage site. Tirta Empul, meaning ‘holy water spring’ is actually the name of a water source located within the temple. The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River. Various sites throughout the region and many other archaeological relics relate to local myths and legends.

  • Tegalalang Rice Terrace, Tegalalang, Indonesia
    Tegallalang Rice Terraces in Ubud is famous for its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak (traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. Tegallalang forms the three most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud's shared region, with the others being in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan. The Tegallalang rice terraces alone offers a scenic outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well-known spot for tourists to stop and take photos.   • Tegenungan Waterfall, Ubud, Indonesia
    Tegenungan Waterfall is one for nature lovers who happen to be staying in Ubud or have neighbouring Sukawati among their tour itineraries. The falls are only several minutes’ walk down the trail beyond the shops, where you’ll enjoy the impressively green valley panorama with cascading water as a centrepiece. Dense foliage frames the falls, and the water volume is impressive at almost any time of year, but normally at its strongest during the wet season (October to April).

Ari and his team should be your only choice for a Bali guide and driver! He was recommended by a friend nearly 10 years ago. It was my first trip to Bali and my first solo travel ever. He was my driver for the whole trip. I felt safe and secure, and so well looked after. My trip wouldn't have been as amazing as it was without him. Ari is so knowledgeable and welcoming, and truly passionate about his Bali. I got to travel with Ari again when I went back with my boyfriend a few years ago now, and he was singing his praises too. We can't wait to get back to Bali and use Ari's services again. Had it not been for Covid we would have been back already. Great guy, great guide!

I was in Bali on bus and had only 2 days to go sightseeing in Ubud. With a limited amount of time, I trusted Mr. Ariawan to customize a tour for me based on my interests. He certainly succeeded in doing that and was a wonderful and fun guide who knew when to chime in with useful information and when to give mw my own time and space to reflect. He was also full of good tips for my own exploration of Ubud, tips that saved me time, money and kept me out of trouble. I highly recommend the tours and services of this company.
