Kura Kura Bus Public Transfer Between Kuta and Ubud

I took the shuttle from Ubud to Kuta. The driver is very polite. The bus came on time and journey was smooth. Because there were only 2 passengers on board, there was no hussle. It is very good option if you know the way to pick up point and have small luggage. Although it says bus, the car was SUV. Better option for light traveller. If you carry big luggages, better avoid. Grab and Bluebird are not allowed in Ubud, so this is the best option to avoid negotiations for price with local taxi guys.

We booked online this shuttle service between Kuta and Ubud and get 30% discount. During our trip it is less crowded, as there were only 4 pasengers. On time at the pick up starting point at Lippo Mall Kuta and the returning from Puri Lukisan Museum Ubud. But Kura Kura bus is no the hop on and hop off tour bus (as compared to tour buses in South Korea) as they only allowed point to point, to and fro shuttle service. There are several stops at the tourist spots like bird park and zoo along the way but once you go down you have to wait for the hours of the return bus trip which is many hours to go. So we chose to spent the four to five hours at the last bus stop, that is Puri Lukisan Musuem and roaming around bored and aimless. Our suggestion is to make the trip worth and interesting for tourists, the bus company should re-schedule a little, like stop at Beachwalk for 20 minutes, make another two stops at Bird Park and Bali Zoo for 30 minutes each to let tourists alight and taking a few photo of the place, while the remining time will be for touring around Ubud at the last stop. By this way it will not affecting the operating hours and route of the bus but could get more passengers who like to have a sight of the tourist spots in Bali. Otherwise, tourists may choose to go for other cheaper options on this route like the regular public bus in Bali, the Teman Bus which charge quite low fare by using the transportation e-money card.

I’m really happy with this service. I took it from Ubud to Kuta and worked perfect. Bus was new and it follow the route as planned without inconvenience. Best thing is that it was half price of a taxi
