    Pura Mengening is located in the village of Saraseda, Tampaksiring, Gianyar regency, Bali. The temple area is very cool with beautiful natural scenery. Pura Mengening is a temple to the place of melukat (perform self-cleaning with holy water) and a place to request tirtha (holy water for ceremonies for Hindus). Inside this area there is a pool for self-cleaning. This pool is divided into two, namely the pool of women's baths and one separate pool for men. These springs are natural sources of springs that have existed since the 11th century. The water in this bath pool is very cool and clear. To be able to bathe in this pool is expected to present the canag and incense before then take a bath and pray for the coolness given physically and spiritually.

Our driver was very nice and talkative, he took us through the temples. He was educated about the temples and knew exactly what to do. He prepared us for the shaman and the temples by bringing offerings and sarongs for us. Highly recommended!

A healer of immense talent and skill will asses all your ailments, release you of them and give you practices to continue to keep them at bay. This gift alone is worth more than admission. The ancient spring waters will wash away everything that your intentions mark. The drivers company, knowledge and care were constant. Welcoming and easygoing, with in depth local knowledge, and spiritual support. Truly a journey in Bali that could change your life.

We are so happy we found that trip! Tude was not only a good driver but also taught us a lot about the Balinese culture. It was a great experience to get blessed by the healer, do the purification ceremony in a more local temple and visit a different temple as well. It was not busy or crowded at all, which we really enjoyed. He was really friendly and open for our suggestions, such as trying Durian together. We had a lot of fun and are really thankful!
