Explore the true Canada with our 3 day Athabasca tour! We’ll be travelling along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic roads in the world, through the Rocky Mountains in Banff and Jasper National Parks! You’ll discover amazing glacial lakes (like Peyto Lake), snow-capped mountain peaks, pristine rivers, and thunderous waterfalls, all while keeping an eye out for Canada’s diverse wildlife, like bears, elk, moose and bighorn sheep. We’ll get you off the bus for hikes, swimming, and of course for those Insta-moments! Note: the Athabasca is the middle 3 days of the 8 day Caribou tour. Some of your fellow travellers will have started together in Vancouver before you join them, and some will be continuing back to Vancouver after you finish. Moose tours are designed for 18 to 39 year olds, but we welcome all adventurous travellers that are 18+.

  • Luggage Restrictions: Each passenger is restricted to one reasonably sized main backpack, bag, or suitcase to be stored in the bus luggage compartment, with a maximum allowable weight of 23kg (50lbs) and maximum linear dimensions (Height + Width + Depth) of 158cm (62in). In addition, each passenger may bring one small daypack that will be carried in the passenger compartment of the bus. Moose reserves the right to refuse to accept luggage that exceeds our weight and/or size restrictions. Moose will not cover any storage costs incurred by the client as a result. If Moose chooses to accept overweight or oversize luggage, we will charge a fee of $50 per bag for overweight/oversize pieces. Note that the decision to accept an overweight/oversize piece can only be made at departure.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Our tour guide David was fantastic- took us on lots of extra hikes, lake stops and activities which really made the most of our time in the Rockies. A great tour if you're travelling alone or in a small group. Budget accommodation (shared dorm rooms) and often picnics from supermarkets which was good for keeping costs down. The extra excursions sound good but are definitely not needed- the itinerary is great without them. We saw tonnes of incredible lakes (still amazing even if the weather isn't the best), wild bears with their cubs and overall had an amazing few days in great company and incredible surroundings! Would recommend and would love to go again!
