I give this a 3 because the issue with riding an E bike could’ve been avoided if this company had allowed us to try out the E bikes when we showed up at the meeting place in the morning. Unfortunately, my group did not try out the E bikes until we were at Johnston Canyon. We had Bill as our guide, who was so patient and friendly. Our group drove to Johnston Canyon, then hiked to a beautiful waterfall. One of our group members was panicking on her E bike because she had never ridden it and never got comfortable on it. We kept starting and stopping and Bill tried to help this person. Then it started raining, pouring on us while we were waiting around in the rain for the one member to figure out the bike. Bill finally called his office and after much starting and stopping in the rain, someone picked up this person and her bike. My suggestion to this company is to have everyone try out the E bikes while in Banff to make sure everyone can ride them. This 3 hour bike ride, which should have been 2 hours in the rain could have been avoided if the company had allowed this person to try out her bike. Also, I recommend they’re being an emergency plan where the guide can contact the company easier without cell service.
