Enjoy bird’s-eye views of the Canadian Rockies as you soar high above in a helicopter. Fly over the plains of Bow Valley and snap up-close shots of Mt Lougheed’s three summit peaks drizzled in snow. An experienced pilot shares the history of the region as you absorb the incredible scenery. This 20-minute flight is a dazzling way to take in sights during your stay in Banff.

    Leaving the valley and flying up entry creek you will soar over Cline Pass at 10,000 ft (3048m) to view the expansive panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains. Reducing our altitude we will fly you into the Coup de grace of the tour – The 6 Glaciers. Cline Glacier White Goat Glacier Lion Glacier Lioness Glacier Resolute Glacier Hanging Glacier From the glaciers, you are off to Michelle Lakes. The Twin lakes is divided by a 50 ft (15m) waterfall which homes the beautiful Golden Trout. Michelle lakes is at an elevation of 7,545 ft (2299m). The lake then leads to a 900 ft (275m) waterfall that plunges into Waterfalls Creek. Following Waterfalls Creek back to the Cline River Valley we will fly by the White Goat Provincial Park. Looking to the east tucked up one of the valleys is a mountain that is an oxidized orange mountain due to the ferric iron content. Starting our long descent to the heliport you will view the beautiful vista of the glacial blue water of Abraham Lake.

If this wasn’t on your to do list it should be. Absolutely amazing experience! From booking to the end of the tour. The views of all the peaks and snowshoeing up the mountain to see the breathtaking landscape of the mountains was magical. The staff were great too! Funny, knowledgeable and made booking very easy. This is definitely a must when visiting the Rockies!

Rockies Heli & Ralph; Where Do I begin!? Firstly. Thank you for everything!! From the moment we stepped in the door, Ralph greeted us and made us feel at home! I started to rib him, and he gave it back to me just as good. We hadn’t even left the ground, and I was having such a great time hanging out with him! We booked a .3 flight for Epic Wedding photos, and believe me, this entire experience was nothing short of EPIC!! Sue helped me get into my gown, while Ralph unwrapped my flowers and helped my husband with everything he needed! Everyone here is so kind and so professional! The entire experience was just unbelievable! We loaded into the helicopter and WOW! Those views! Ralph Is a fantastic pilot! We took selfies flying, shot the bull and had so many laughs! We were literally on top of the World!! (Well, 10,000 feet!) Upon landing on the mountain, the snow was 2 feet deep! Ralph was more then happy to stomp out the paths first, so it was easier to hike in my wedding dress! He held flowers, coats and everything in-between! All morning Ralph ensured I was warm and he took great care of us! When we landed back at the heli pad, they had a warm fire going and brought us fresh Bread that Sue made! The bread was knotted, and it was meant to symbolize tying the Knot! It was the sweetest thing! Thank you Rockies Heli and Ralph for the most amazing start to our Wedding Day!! I can’t wait for the summer to go back and fly again!

I did the six Glacier tour which took 20 mins. I can check off “chopper ride” from my bucket list, but I’m HOOKED! I will be going up again in the future, next being the one hour trip. Both pilots are great guys! Mark was skilled, informative and chill. Don’t hesitate to take a flight, you will be in good hands! The views are breathtaking- and a fabulous way to “reset” from our hectic, everyday lives.
