This was our first activity in Banff and it really gave us a good heads up of what to expect as the tour includes both snowshoeing and ice walk, shows you the most famous lake louise as well as marble canyon. Our guide Alex is very experienced and super knowledgeable (now we've finished our trip, I can say he was the only one who could explain so clearly the difference between lichen and moss!) I was traveling with my mom and mom enjoyed very much too

A group of about 10 of us went from a meeting in Banff to Lake Louise with Alex of White Mountain Adventures. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, the history of the area, and the geology. We were taught all about the area during our trip from Banff to Lake Louise. After arriving, we had the opportunity to do things on our own for about 90 minutes, and then Alex took us on a great snowshoeing trek across the lake and through the woods. Overall, it was an absolutely delightful trip. Kudos to WMA and to Alex!

This was an excellent tour. Our guide Alex picked us up from our hotel and since it was just my family on this tour he made it feel like we had a personal guide. He took time to learn our names and engaged us in conversation while we were driving. We made a few stops along the way to see some sights. We had a quick little hike in Marble Canyon where Alex provided ice cleats so we could walk on the trail. The day we booked was a beautiful sunny day and provided great photo opportunities which Alex was more than happy to facilitate. Our time at Lake Louise was also fantastic. We got to visit and have lunch at the famous hotel (not provided by the tour) and after Alex met us outside by the lake and shared several informative stories of how Lake Louise came to be. Alex brought some snow shoes and my wife and mother were able to snowshoe around the lake for their last activity. All in all it was day well spent. Our guide was very informative and never had a dull moment, always sharing information about what we were seeing, or doing.
