The convenience of a tour van with hotel pick up and dropoff and private guide are great. Be prepared for very hot weather. Bring water and wear long pants to enter palace grounds and temples. Also keep a mask handy for entrance requirements. Bring some cash for lunch and tipping guide and driver.

The car was comfortable and both the driver and guide were very polite but the guide could barely speak English. He was definitely not a qualified guide and paying USD180 for such a trip was a rip off. I had to to read myself on Wikipedia about the sights during the entire trip.

The tour is done in a private car with a/c which makes it very comfortable. The stops are interesting and just enough to not get overwhelmed with information. Our tour guide, Thanya spoke excellent English which made for easy conversations. She was so friendly and accommodating. We stopped at a local Thai restaurant for lunch and the food was delicious.
