Private Tour: The Best of Bangkok Your Way with a Private Driver

Before starting my trip, I had absolutely no plan of what to see and just relied on somehow finding a guide who would take care of me and show me the most important places. This turned into three days with Moddy: the most important temples in Bangkok, the most important and interesting temples in the UNESCO World Heritage Site and finally Train Market and two Floating Markets. During the first two days, Moddy told me a lot about kings, temples and religion - her enormous knowledge was always convincing. She had exhaustive answers to all my questions and I learned an incredible amount. This tour was less about the culture of the past and more about the way of life in the present. I must say that I enjoyed this tour incredibly, even if many things did not look the same through COVID. Especially the two floating markets were almost empty. But just because of that I could enjoy the tour very much. I could relax and let the beauty pass me by. So much for the tour. But even the most beautiful tour can be even more beautiful if it is accompanied by a guide like Moddy. She was always there for me, read my wishes from my eyes, supported me in everything (e.g. in carrying out the second COVID PCR test) and never lost her incredible friendliness. Even on long days, for example when we had dinner on a ship, she was always in a good mood and never looked at her watch. She accompanied me like a very good friend and I am sure that it was not the last time I saw her. I will be back and guess who I will hire as a guide! I highly recommend Moddy to everyone. It should be hard, if not impossible, to find a better guide.

We had a morning tour with Artty. He met us at our hotel and we hopped on the riverboat to take us on our urban tour of Bangkok. We had visited the temples on a previous visit and wanted to see Bangkok from a local perspective. We couldn’t have wished for a better guide. Answering our questions and showing us the real Bangkok. He certainly seems to love his job and was very enthusiastic throughout. He even took us back to the Ruverboat stop so we could find our way back to the hotel Definitely chose Artty if you want a fun and informative tour.

Helped by a local friendly market trader, we found Go Bike Bangkok and Tony our smiley and enthusiastic guide. Within a short while we were in areas rarely explored by tourists. We seemed to cycle right through the very heart of the city and into people's lives. Tony had lots of surprises for us on our journey; things we would never have found on our own. We learnt a lot about the different aspects of the city in a fun and interesting way. Tony was an excellent guide, willing to share his knowledge. It is a must do experience.
