Snorkel Sunset Cruise In Barbados

I can't say enough about the Snorkel Sunset Catamaran Cruise we took, we loved every minute of it. The captain and mates were all so enthusiastic and young and they have been doing this for many many years, real pros, and they were all a nice friendly bunch of guys who know how to show their guests a great time. We all had so much FUN! and thoroughly enjoyed the great music! There was snorkeling for viewing dozens of turtles, then the shipwreck, then swimming and viewing all the colorful and gorgeous fish, then a delicious buffet dinner before the grand finally, a gorgeous and unforgettable sunset! We highly recommend this tour.

We did the sunset snorkel and sail. We’ve been on quite a few of these kinds of excursions across the caribbean and the crew of the cool Runnings ship was hands down the best, friendliest, most attentive crew we’ve been with. Went above and beyond to literally wait on you while you relaxed and sailed the coast. Very friendly and educational while snorkeling also! And the food was great! We also did the mount gay rum and cave tour. That was ok, a little expensive we felt but if you’re a rum drinker then you will love it! The cave was cool too! Our driver RICARDO (Rihanna’s brother lol!) was hilarious and made the trip go so fast and taught us so much about the island. My only issue is that all the excursions that island routes offers (staying at sandals) are pretty much the same. Same snorkel tour just morning or night, same cave tour across a couple of excursions they offer but then when you are in a public place you find the pamphlets for other excursions not through island routes. Atv tours, zip lines, jeep tours, etc none of which is offered through island routes at sandals. at the rum factory we met other couples who had gone through town, seen parks and things like that through other resorts. Perhaps island routes could try to broaden their horizons a bit.

Sorry to say if you wanted great Snorkeling this is not the cruise. We first went to see Turtles and all we saw we two and nothing more. That lasted about 20 minutes. Then we went to a man made sunken shipwreck which was terrible. Truthfully we were only about 200 yards from shore so did not see anything. Again that lasted about 20 minutes so for a four hour cruise we did less than 60 minutes of snorkeling. However if you are looking for a great SUNSET CRUISE on a beautiful 63 foot Cat Sailboat with a super crew that really took care of you THEN BY ALL MEANS take this cruise. The crew and boat were amazing with NON STOP drinks of all kinds and GREAT ISLAND FOOD for dinner and finished off with great music and dancing. Maybe they should skip the snorkel and just have a sunset dinner cruise which for that I give a 5+.
