Cruise passengers: please walk through the port terminal, past the car park and right OUTSIDE the MAIN PORT GATES where we will be waiting for you.
Be aware there are two sets of gates so make sure you go through the second set. The port officials have been known to send you to the taxi stand inside the port. You may need to inform them that you need to walk right outside the gates and outside of the port complex.
You will find us on a small grassy roundabout under the tree with a board displaying our Mike's Maxi Taxi & Tours logo.

    We will drive past the famous Sandy Lane to Holetown, now a very affluent town. This is where the British first landed. We will stop at the beautiful St James parish church where we will discover some of its fascinating history.

  • Speightstown, Speightstown, Caribbean
    Passing through Speightstown, the second largest town in Barbados and the most traditional, we'll see the variety of local fruits and vegetables that vendors sell by the side of the road.
  • Animal Flower Cave, Caribbean
    Feel as if you are on the edge of the world as you look over the cliffs at North Point. See giant waves crashing against the rocks as the wild Atlantic Ocean meets the calm Caribbean Sea. Peer through the gaps in the rocks to watch the sea enter the cave. If you choose to go inside the cave to see the iconic view, make sure you wear sensible footwear as the rocks may be slippery. You can also paddle or swim in the cave pool so bring a costume and towel if you wish. It's well worth it!

  • Morgan Lewis Mill, Caribbean
    We'll continue down the north east coast along the mahogany lined road until we reach the spectacular view at Cherry Tree Hill where we will stop for photographs. We may even see the steam train coming from St Nicholas Abbey as it brings travellers to the same spot to witness the east coast scenery. You may also look at the locally produced crafts that will be on sale here if you wish. A short distance away, we will find the Morgan Lewis Windmill. Your guide will tell you the interesting history of this beautiful restored Dutch style windmill and we can guarantee you’ll reach for your camera again! We will stop for lunch at a traditional Bajan cafe not far from here.

  • Bathsheba, Bathsheba, Caribbean
    We'll then follow the rugged east coast down to the striking rock formations of Bathsheba where we'll stop to marvel at nature. In contrast to the west and south coast, the beach on the Atlantic side of the island is wild and rough, not suitable for swimming but you may see surfers riding the huge waves in the 'soup bowl.'

    Taking the scenic route, we'll travel through the centre of Barbados, through the parishes of St Joseph and St George as we see the 'bread basket,' traditional villages and plantations to make our way back to our starting point after a day of making great memories.

My wife and I travelled from Ireland on our Honeymoon and wanted to explore the island and find out more about the Barbados culture. Mike was an absolute gentleman and very enthusiastic about his work, showcasing his vast knowledge about Barbados. To be honest we aren’t into our history but Mike made it very interesting for us. We would certainly recommend Mike to anyone who wishes to have a tour of Barbados as we got to see this Beautiful country from top to bottom in complete comfort. The next time we travel to Barbados we would really like to go on Mikes 3 stop tour which is a new additional tour option. Thanks again Mike from Amy & Dermot

Mike's Maxi Taxi in Barbados is an absolute gem! As a meticulous planner, I had been dreaming and planning this vacation for what feels like forever, and Sue was right there with me, helping me plan and get excited about this trip for months. From start to finish, they exceeded all expectations, answering all my questions, and making this trip unforgettable for my family and me. The journey began with airport transfers, and despite flight delays causing initial panic, Mike's reassuring words put me at ease. He promised to pick everyone up, regardless of the time, and he kept that promise without fail. My daughter's flight arrived at midnight, and Mike maintained constant contact with me throughout the process, which helped me stay calm. A major highlight of our trip was Mike's expertly guided family cultural and history tour of Barbados. His wealth of knowledge about the island's heritage and culture was awe-inspiring. From fascinating historical facts to his personal island tales and an amazing lunch stop, we laughed, learned, and felt deeply connected to Barbados. Barbados, Mike, and Sue surpassed all expectations, providing personalized service that created unforgettable memories. Thank you, Mike and Sue, for an amazing trip! Firstly apologies to Mike for posting such a late review of the tour he took us on of the island on 25 June - but waited till got home to post now. What can I say from the start , at about 9am to finish when he dropped us back off at our hotel about 5.30, Mike kept us (a party of 6) entertained and despite it being a usual scorching hot Bajan day too. We started in St Lawrence Gap popped up the west coast, then stopped at the Animal Flower Cave. We then dropped back south via Cherry Tree Hill and onto the east coast. Brilliant dinner stop off at Sand Dunes before descending down to Bathsheba for a rum punch time out, to take in yet more incredible views and then coming back through central Barbados and home. Throughout Mike provided vast insights and depth of knowledge on Bajan history, geography, wildlife, architecture, religion and also political and sociological changes to Barbados and pop with Rihanna and her home/upbringing...in fact I doubt anyone could have provided so much information in so short a time. Indeed when we were chilling out post tour, our group kept on reflecting the bits that that we had been told. I wouldn't hesitate to recommended this tour to anyone and great value for money. Chatting with Mike he also mentioned another tour he was doing via Welchman Hall Gully/Huntes Garden/Peg Farm and I'd love to come back asap and do that too. Finally thanks to Mike for the tour and I hope plenty more visitors treat themselves to this gem
