Our resident Historian uses the art of storytelling to transport our guests to places and times chosen for our historic journey. Our resident historian has a Bachelors and Masters degree in History, and she uses her vast knowledge obtained from years in the field of Barbadian history to share many lesser known insights about the various attractions visited on the tour and the people that would have inhabited our land.
  • This is not a food tour, however small treats may be offered along the way to give guest a taste of the island.

    Starting the tour with the "Father of Independence" feels like the most fitting place to start our journey. Our resident Historian will meet you at this location to begin the tour. Join her as she shares stories regarding this iconic figure of Barbadian history.

    Historian will point out the Independence Arch and discuss its significance.

  • National Heroes Square, Bridgetown, Caribbean
    Historian will point out the significance of the monuments located in National Heroes Square.

  • Swan St, Bridgetown, Saint Michael Barbados
    Tour will pass through and tell stories of early residents.
  • Nidhe Israel Synagogue and Museum, Bridgetown, Caribbean
    Historian discusses the attraction along with surrounding monuments located at the site. (Tour does not enter the Synagogue).

    Historian will tell stories to highlight the significance of the Methodist Church in early Barbados.

    Historian will walk along the boardwalk enroute to the Chamberlain bridge pointing out sites along the way.

As first time visitors to Barbados, it was a pleasure to do the walking tour of Bridge Town, with such a lovely Tour Guide as Claudette Levi-Farnum. She has so much passion ,Love and knowledge about your Island. We were able to connect and share information, with relations to Barbados’s long standing history and the similarities of some Canadian History in regards to the Black Canadian ,s of Canada ???????? I highly recommend Claudette for a Tour Guide and Thank you for taking time for my daughter, it was greatly appreciated ☀️☀️????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ms. Levi-Farnum was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about all things Bridgetown. I was there with a group of college students and she had all of taking so many notes and asking so many questions. The three hours were not enough. If we had eight hours, it still would not be enough time. If you want to learn about Bridgetown and Barbados, this trained scholar is the way to go. You will NOT be disappointed...the screw dock was my favorite part. Before this walk, I did not know what that was, and did not think I would care, but I was fascinated. Our 8-person group walked away with a new appreciation for the historical importance of Bridgetown and Barbados. P.S. - she even gives you frozen water at the start :).
