We took the black and yellow city cabs everywhere. The drivers were excellent and totally transparent. Walk right by the guy standing next to the fair calculator sign inside the terminal unless you want to be ripped off to the tune of 10 Euro's or more. When we used the "calculator" to the Sagrada (our hotel was next door) it said 46 Euros and the guy next to it said they have special cabs lined up and that if we took the city cabs it could be 60 Euros or more. Luckily we had checked Uber a few days before they quit Barcelona and remembered a relatively straight route from the airport to Sagrada where as in contrast the "calculator" showed a a much longer looping route. Suspecting something was amiss we went directly to the taxi pickup area, immediately had a ride and got to our hotel for 36 Euro. On another occasion we had wandered far away from city center and when were got a cab the driver was not sure how to get to our hotel. He called up Google Maps on his phone and followed the recommended route. On our way back to the airport a few days later it was again 36 Euro and that driver made an unsolicited point of telling us about the scam at the airport that cost at least 10 Euro more than the regular cabs.
