Taking the afternoon tour was great. Got picked up at 12:00 and missed the crowds. Driver was Pau, very informative and friendly. Traveled with my spouse which should be an option when looking for feedback.

We are retired seniors on a one month road trip through southern Europe. We have booked 13 tours through Viator in 10 different cities. This was tour #6. We chose the train option from Barcelona to Montserrat, followed by the cable car to the top. We walked through the market, toured the monastery, saw the Madonna, and walked to the cross at a beautiful observation point. We enjoyed Monserrat but what set this tour apart from the previous 5 tours we took through Viator was our guide, Pau. Pau was very observant and accommodating of our physical and dietary limitations and made sure everything was perfect. He stayed with us throughout the day rather than dropping us off and meeting us later. He was professional and courteous not only to us, but also to other visitors he did not know. His hospitality exceeded our expectations and was far beyond the other tour experiences we had.

Monserrat is a beauty to be visited. Via suburban train is easily reached, although it is far from Barcelona, but from afar you can see the incredible work done on a mountain. The visit unmatched thanks to Pau. I don’t think there’s any other way or other Guide that comes to all the knowledge that Pau conveyed to us on this journey. From departure and on the train he communicated quite a few details with his joyful style of leading the tour. In Monserrat he was diverted by passing us information of the monastery and other points to know. Totally pleasant visit to Monserrat.
