    Choose your preferred tour time when booking, then make your own way to the Colònia Güell information and visitor center to pick up your audio guide and keepsake guidebook. Set out to discover the highlights of Colonia Güell and Gaudi's Crypt at your own pace, exploring the area's terraced houses, school, historic factory, shops, gardens, and co-operative buildings. Wander through the 19th-century village as you listen to how modernist architects were commissioned by Eusebi Güell to house the workers from his nearby textile factory. Admire the Catalan folk architecture fused with modernist elements like turrets and trencadis mosaic tiling.  After your time in the village, make your way to the main attraction: Gaudi's Crypt, declared World Heritage site by UNESCO in 2005. Hear how Antoni Gaudi designed the church in 1882, and learn how the designer used it to test ideas for his main life work: The Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. Marvel at the architecture outside, then step inside to wonder at the soaring arches, spiraling columns, and two naves; built on different levels to blend into the surrounding hillside. The audio tour concludes after two hours; you are free to spend as much time in the area as you like.

Todos los edificios de la Colònia están bien conservados, y los comentarios de la audioguía muy interesantes. Me faltó poder entrar en alguno de los edificios, por ejemplo, la escuela y el domicilio del maestro, pero me gustó mucho. La cripta es impresionante, aunque más impresionante es cómo estaba proyectada!

Visita muy recomendable . Conocer cómo funcionaba la Colonia y detalles de la construcción de los edificios y la Cripta ha sido muy interesante. Jordi, el guía, vive allí y es descendiente del médico y farmacéutico de antaño. Sus explicaciones nos han encantado.

My 9-year-old son and I went as a recommendation from a friend I met in Barcelona. I'm so glad she told me or I never would have discovered this place. It's a hidden gem, especially since there are no crowds. We were inside by ourselves at one point. I think it's not as popular because it took us an hour via metro to get there, but it was worth it to see the crypt. The town itself has some unique and beautiful buildings as well. We've seen many of Gaudi's works and this is in our top 3.
