This was a tremendous tour led by Sara our guide. She had an enormous amount of in depth information about the region, the soil, the vines and the vineyard and winery processes. At each stop we met a well spoken and friendly professional representing their winery and had educational but delicious tastings. We also visited some unique buildings and a perfect Spanish town for a relaxed lunch. well worth your time and money.

This is a must!! Irene was incredible, she has so much knowledge and her attitude is awesome. The wineries were amazing and the lunch, fantastic.

We toured Rioja with Irene in October 2022. The wineries she chose highlighted some of the best of the Rioja region, at least for what you can fit into a comfortably paced day. Lunch in La Guardia was casual and delicious. The town is picturesque and the views are incredible. But what set this tour apart was Irene herself. She is a sommelier and trained cook. In addition, she has a deep understanding of Spanish and Basque history and culture, as well as a knowledge of local architecture. She is a great communicator who worked to enlighten and teach us throughout our tour. We had a simply wonderful time. We would highly, highly recommend this tour as a day trip from Bilbao.
