Your certified surf instructor will coach you step by step on how to stand up on a surfboard and start flying on water! We will customize your Tamarindo surf lesson to focus on basic techniques. We guarantee you to get up on a wave in your lesson or your second lesson is free! Tamarindo, Costa Rica is a world-renowned surf location, made famous for the movie The Endless Summer. There are almost always great waves, but not too big, perfect for learning to surf. Whether this is your first time on a surfboard or you have some experience and want to work on your technique, our lessons are guaranteed to improve your skills. We did this with our 3 teens. Some of us (the kids) took to it faster than others (mom and dad). That said, our instructors were very patient and encouraging. The two hour lesson flew by but it was a lot of fun

Patsy was a terrific instructor: patient and very thorough! My two teenage sons greatly enjoyed their surf lesson! Highly recommended!

We booked a semi private lesson with two parents and three kids (14, 14, 11 years old). Patsy was our instructor, and she was very patient and a great teacher. The lesson was at 8am and the weather was perfect and it was relatively empty at the beach at that hour. All five of us got up and rode some waves in. The hardest part was carrying the unwieldy boards to the beginner area. We had a great time learning how to surf! Thank you, Patsy!
