Enjoy visiting the Fayuan Temple, the oldest Buddhist Temple in the Beijing City. It has around 1300 years’ history and first built in the Tang Dynasty. If you are interested in Buddhism and it's culture, you surely don't want to miss the opportunity to visit this ancient Temple while you are in Beijing. We enjoyed visiting Maliandao, Vivie is a reliable, easygoing and honest guide, and made every effort to make sure we had a comfortable and interesting tour. She had great suggestions for eating out, found out about our interests and tailored our tour accordingly. She made us feel welcome in China and shared her country's history and culture. Maliandao was a very good experience and we enjoyed learning about the different kinds of tea and tasting it too. I like that Vivie explained carefully that there is no pressure to buy, she wanted us to enjoy the tea tasting. We ended up buying some delicious tea, but because we wanted to, not because we felt we had to. It was interesting to see all the different teas and tea related goods, teapots, cups, gift ware, and above all...all that tea! Thanks Vivie, hope to see you again soon.
