    The Brandenburg Gate made of sandstone is one of the largest and most beautiful creations of German classicism. It was built in the years 1788 to 1791 based on designs by Carl Gotthard Langhans the Elder, who was strongly oriented towards the propylaea of the Athens Acropolis. King Friedrich Wilhelm II had previously ordered the construction of the Brandenburg Gate because he was looking for a worthy architectural conclusion for the boulevard Unter den Linden.
  • Reichstag/Bundestag (Berlin), 10557 Berlin, Germany
    Significant turning points and events in German history are associated with the Reichstag building. On November 9, 1918, SPD politician Philipp Scheidemann called the Republic from the balcony on the west portal. The "Reichstag fire" occurred on the evening of February 27, 1933.     The 36-meter high "administration building" rises between and above the two five-story administrative wings, which houses the offices of the Chancellor and his Ministers of State, the cabinet room and conference rooms. The day started out very rainy and cold. Our rickshaw guides were very sensitive to our comfort and pushed back our tour time until the rain let up. We were picked up at our hotel and were off! My 4 yr old grandson pretended he was on a pirate ship sailing through Berlin while my 6 yr old granddaughter pretended to be a princess. They had a blast. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and tailored our tour- we rolled by the Berlin zoo, their wall was beautiful. We explored along the waterway and saw some great architecture (the kids loved the ducks and puddles). Our guides explained the history of many of the museums and made recommendations for follow up visits. We loved touring around the Brandenburg gate area. We rolled along the brick outline of the wall, got up close to the old wall remnants and new art. The kids especially loved check point Charley-(there’s a McDonald’s and they got a snack). Afterwards we asked to be dropped off at a large playground so they could unwind. This tailored tour was wonderful. We got to see historic sites up close with excellent tour guides. The guides were very patient and understanding accommodating our children as well as the adults. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to see a lot in a short amount of time.

Bereits zum zweiten Mal mit Leo Rikscha unterwegs gewesen und es war wie immer eines unserer Highlights des Urlaubs. Die Fahrtroute haben wir spontan entschieden und genau das gesehen, was wir sehen wollten. Dazu viele Informationen und gute Musik während der Fahrt. Immer wieder gerne!

Leo was fantastic!!! We were picked up from our hotel on time. We were taken to the Brsndenburg gate, the wall the Cathedrsl, Synagague snd through many small lanes. The ride was fun with accompanied music. Leo was was knowledgeable about all the sights we saw! Would recommend this trip to everyone!
