Upon departing the reef, the boat will pause at the nearby sea grass beds, where you may spot a few of the many transient turtles that take refuge in this Mid Atlantic sanctuary.

The two crew members were fabulous, knowledgeable and patient with many questions from guests. We learned a lot of historical and topographical info while riding out to the shipwreck of the Vixen. You will need to go up and down about 15 steps to the glass section on the bottom deck but they let those who needed more time to go first. Lots of fish were present. The ride in and out was beautiful and the captain stopped for us to take advantage of great photo sites. I was pressed by the tour. They do offer you a drink and there is a small bathroom onboard. Good people ran the tour! Lastly, you are protected from the sun before it sets.

Terrible experience . On this particular day we got to the dockyard 4 minutes late due to the bus system and we told we couldn’t get in. Additionally they were rude and offered no alternatives. Coming from Los Angeles I have no experienced such poor customer service. My friends told me the glass bottom boat was anticlimactic at best. We ended going to the obstacle course nearby and had an amazing time. Save your money at the glass bottom boat. Trust me! Terrible experience
