Our small group personalized day-trip is the best way to experience all the Abel Tasman National Park has to offer in comfort in one day. You get to meet other travelers and receive the personal attention of the skipper as we limit numbers to 5 couples or 11 passengers. Choose how energetic you want to be with plenty of activities on offer. Our cruise itinerary is flexible and our friendly, knowledgeable skippers are excellent at locating local wildlife such as New Zealand fur seals, Little Blue penguins and on occasion dolphins.We ensure you are able to learn about the history and ecology of the Abel Tasman while take in the stunning scenery. We cruise past Split Apple Rock as far as the Tonga Island Marine Reserve in the heart of the park where New Zealand fur seals bask in the sun. Then we find a sheltered bay with opportunities to kayak, go ashore for a bush walk, or just relax on board while we prepare a delicious platter style lunch with fresh local ingredients.

41 Stephens Bay Road, Kaiteriteri 7197, New Zealand 6 kms north of Motueka, take a right off SH60 towards Kaiteriteri. After 3.5 km turn right at the small blue road sign Stephens Bay – No Exit. Follow this road right down to the reserve. Coordinates -41.0477° S, 173.0178° E

The pickup is by bus and needs to be scheduled though us as an extra with additional fare. It is a suitable option for those traveling without a vehicle. It is for travelers heading to the Abel Tasman from Nelson and arrives an hour early to our departure point as it meets other companies timetables.
Otherwise meet us at Stephens Bay at 9.45am - parking available at the end of Stephens Bay road.

We had a lovely day on the water with Tim! My husband and I and our two girls, ages 11 & 9 enjoyed a super day. Lunch was delicious. Tim was very kind and observant. We saw birds and seals and took in the sights. Highly recommend this company for this tour. The pick-up and drop-off location is convenient. We are very happy we chose this tour. It was a fabulous way to see the shoreline and portions of ABEL TASMAN Park. We were on a time budget so this satisfied our needs very well.

My family really enjoyed this trip at Abel Tasman. My 6 year old specifically said that she didn't want the boat ride to end, and that our tour guide was "a really nice man". My kids are picky vegetarians, but they even enjoyed the tasty lunch. We went on 2 beautiful hikes and saw seals and penguins. I especially liked our small group size (just our family and one other person). Thanks for a great day.

My girlfriend and I took this spectacular cruise and were not disappointed in any way. Starting from the early questions to Karina, the co-owner, to the actual cruise itself we were very pleased. We stayed in Nelson and did not have a rental car. For an additional fee they will pick you up and return you to Nelson which is an hour away. Wear sandals or have them available since you wade into the water at several points. The friendly crew (Emma and Emma) was amazing as they take you to various points of interest and islands. You then have the option to hike, swim, or kayak while the crew prepares lunch. Their attention to detail really makes the trip. The tasty lunch with four other couples overlooking this tropical setting was one of the many highlights. Wildlife is abundant and we saw penguins, rays, and many bird species. Fortunately it was a warm, calm and sunny day with no waves. We returned to our departure beach wishing the cruise were longer. I accidentally left my hat in Karina's car which she noticed and very kindly returned the next day. Karina and her team's personalized service along with the ultra clean boat and fantastic scenery were high points for us. Definitely recommended.
