Experience the adventure of rafting on the beautiful and clean Sarapiqui River in this 4-hour tour. If you’re new to whitewater rafting or seeking something with moderate thrill, this section of river is perfect for you. Paddle down exciting rapids such as “El Cano,” “Confusion,” “Superman,” and “Air Force.” Plus, jump out of the raft and swim in the natural pools below the rapids. Our expert guides will provide you with safety information and help you improve your paddling skills. Along the way, the guides will point out all the different flora and fauna around you.

  • Minimum age is 8 years
  • May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
  • You will be required to sign a waiver upon tour check-in
  • Recommend you bring: Sunscreen, string or strap to secure your glasses, clothes to change into after the tour
  • Recommend you wear: Swimsuit, Shorts or long pants (for sun protection only - no jeans), tennis shoes or sandals with ankle straps (no flip flops), light rain jacket and/or polypropylene, wool shirts for cool or rainy days. Cotton T-shirts for sunny days only (they make you colder when wet)
  • A minimum of 2 adults per booking is required
  • For your safety, the 8.30 am schedule may change because the river level.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Wow. I spontaneously booked this tour/adventure and I can't say enough positive things. Jordi, David, and Tatiana and others were so so amazing and made my solo day INCREDIBLE. Apologies for forgetting a few of names of the folks who also helped make this day so easy and special. A few, high-level, call outs (although, again there is much more to gush about and even more I can't put to words) - Clean, gorgeous property at the Sarapiqui Outdoor Center. Learned this is a family business, passed down three generations. I could have spent all day just enjoying the grounds. -Super safe but FUN white water escapade with Jordi - he pointed out so much wildlife and helped me practice my Spanish, patiently, along the way. He was fun and chill, but also clearly took safety very seriously. - Great photos taken by another incredibly sweet human whose name is escaping me. - The "snack" that's included was prepared fresh upon our arrival (back at the property) and was actually a full freaking lunch (in my opinion). So so delicious. They even offered and made me a fresh coffee. Which was needed after a very physical couple of hours. - Another great surprise was getting taught how to juice sugar cane from a small, traditional grinder, after lunch. -David, the owner, was so warm, gracious and helpful. He picked us up where we got out and on the drive back, I got a mini tour through the town. He even pointed out where he went to school as a kid.

My family of four spent 3 weeks in Costa Rica and this was one of our absolute highlights. We had an amazing time on the river, we felt safe and it was so much fun white water rafting and swimming- we laughed a lot! We also have an amazing set of photos! Then we returned to the base and the local Costa Rican family made us amazing Costa Rican food and showed us, among other things, local wildlife including red tree frogs (my favourite) and an iguana. We also learnt about and ate from the cacao fruit and sugar cane. It was absolute joy! A great family experience with a wonderful Costa Rican family. Most highly recommended for making the best memories.

Needed to push the start time back the activity a little and they were responsive and very helpful. My friends and I enjoyed it a lot and would do it again
