Experience the unique adventure through an underground mine on this 8-hour adventure from Bled. Drive two hours to the abandoned mine and descend for 15 minutes into the depths of the earth on an original old mining train. Explore the abandoned mines in complete darkness, with only the illumination of headlights to light your way. Temperature in the mines is only around 10 degrees Celsius, so guest should bring warm clothes. Kayaking equipment is provided and hotel pickup and drop-off is included. Guests stay underground for about 3-4 hrs, beginning with original mining train ride, followed by walking over steep stairs follows with staying on the water for about 1,5 hrs, while doing some kayaking. This special excursion is suitable for beginners as well as experienced kayakers.

  • Pick-up / departure time can vary and can be anything from 5.40 AM until 8 AM, depending on the availability. All guests will be notified about exact time of departure one day before the tour.

  • Bring warmer clothes, temperature in the mines is only around 10 degrees Celsius (long sleeves, pants & closed shoes recommended). Bring some extra clothes in your backpack for just in case.

Really fantastic experience. Many thanks to your knowledgable driver and the wonderful kayak guide. We stopped at some really interesting places on the trip there which made the drive to the caves very enjoyable. A unique experience.

Het is leuk om een keer mee te maken, om te zeggen dat je een keer in een Mijn hebt gevaren. Alleen is het niet zo spectaculair als je zou verwachten. Je wordt naar beneden gebracht en je krijgt een dry-suit wat overigens heel apart voelt. Dan loop je naar een stuk waar ze alles veilig hebben gemaakt. Vanaf daar mag je de Mijn zelf gaan ontdekken. Alles loopt dood, binnen een half uur heb je het wel gezien. Daarna ga je met de guide mee en heb je 1 kleine waterval en dat is het dan ook wel. Die 8 uur is inclusief 4 uur transfer naar en terug van Bled. Het grenst namelijk aan Oostenrijk dus het is niet in Bled zelf. Drinken moet jezelf nog bijkopen en zit niet in de prijs. De snack is niet voor vegetariërs en ontzettend zout en droog. Ik zou zeggen voor €80,- is het leuk maar voor €129,- zeker geen aanrader. Wel volg je een route waar veel wordt uitgelegd. Ook de terugweg in de Mijn is er een mooi verhaal.

Fantastic day. The whole trip was an adventure. The entrance of the mine with the train, the walk down in the mine, the walk with the kajak and of course the kajak tour. Also the lunch with the local specialites was very good. If you look for a special experience: book this tour
