    Meet your private guide at the cruise port and settle into your private, air-conditioned minivan. Then, make the short drive to the first stop of your shore excursion, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, and get an introduction to Bodrum’s long and illustrious history from your knowledgeable guide. The Mausoleum site as your guide explains the ruins around you. Built in around 351 BC in Halicarnassus — the ancient city that once stood where Bodrum now stands — the Mausoleum housed the tomb of King Mausolus, the ruler of the Persian kingdom of Caria. When it stood, this magnificent temple probably measured around 164 foot (50m) high and was adorned with elaborate columns and statues: a beauty that saw it classed as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Next, drive to another of Bodrum’s historical treasures — the ancient Bodrum Amphitheater. Afterward, drive back to Bodrum port, where your tour comes to an end.

Bodrum is a beautiful city full of wonderful friendly people. The sites were amazing and the locals treated us as if we were long time friends. Our tour guide, Suat Akay was knowledgable, friendly, professional and had a great sense of humor. We could not asked for more, just incredible!
