Took the tour on a Friday, day started nice but rained in the afternoon. Took a private tour, it is worth it because the guide is just attending to YOU and no one else. Anyways, went up the feniculare on Monserate hill. View of the city of Bogota was spectacular. Once on top, you get to visit an old church, there are shops and Cafes and even a nice restaurant with a million dollar view. BTW, our guide Camilo is the best, if you're lucky enough to have him. He knows a lot about everything and anything about Bogota, he explains it really well. After ascending the hill, we went to the Candelaria section of the old city, we went to taste a variety of local fruits, walked around the neighborhood....went to the museum of arts and the Botero exhibit. Bolero is a famous local artist/painter. Had lunch at a local restaurant, LA Puerta dela Cathedral, specializing in real Colombian food. Continuing to the Plaza Bolivar, church of San Francisco and last but not least, Museo de Oro. It started to rain really hard but stop in a couple of minutes...good thing we were inside the museum of gold. Ended the day on a golden note. Thanks to our guides Camilo and his driver Carlos. This tour is highly recommended ????.
