You will observe the heart of Colombia and you will marvel at the brine mirrors and its impressive optical effect, you can also take a look at the recording sites of “Los 33” where the film about the trapped miners of Chile was filmed , then you go to have a delicious and typical lunch in the city of Zipaquirá. The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá is declared the First Wonder of Colombia and considered one of the most notable architectural and artistic achievements of tourist sites in Colombia. Enjoy an interesting tour to Zipaquirá visiting the Salt Cathedral and discovering the main squares of the colonial city.

The only reason to visit Bogota is the Salt Cathedral. This Cathedral is built inside the mines of Zipaquira. You enter and see the 14 Stations of Christ. Then you descend to the actual service area. Everything is carved from salt including the kneeling stations at each station and the service area. Services area held there every Sunday midday. (So avoid Sunday if you do not want crowds. I was also told that Holy Week is very busy. This is a wonder of the new world. One thing is the lighting is very low so picture taking is hard (as you will see) and the tunnels are carved into the salt so the floor is uneven.
