Go on a Small or private Group guided walking tour through Bogotá’s El Paraíso favela district. Hop on a cable car, meet with community leaders, learn about the local life, and see technicolor graffiti-filled walls. Start your journey with either hotel pickup, or transfer from the meeting point (MUSEO DEL ORO), accompanied by your guide. Arrive at the cable car station and begin your ride up the hill to El Paraiso. Takin in the panoramic views as your soar over the city. Gaze down at the colorful houses, and get a bird's eye view of the harsh living realities faced by the residents. After your ascent, head off on a walking tour with your local guide to get a feel for the neighborhood. Continue to the best spot for panoramic views over the entire city, then try a traditional Colombian snack to get a feel for local culinary culture. Afterwards, head back down on the cable car, having seen a glimpse into one of Bogotá's most notorious favelas.

Gets you off the well worn track and down to Southern Bogota.... the gondola lift on the way up and down is stunning. You also get to learn a bit about the neighbourhood. Do not miss this one.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and David was a great guide. My Spanish isn't strong, so David spoke Spanish slowly and clearly so that I could understand. English was available, but I was happy to practise Spanish David was knowledgeable about Colombia, Bogota, and el Barrio Paraíso. I appreciated the knowledge and insights that David provided. Because I was a solo traveler, we traveled to cable car station by motorcycle, which was a great adventure. David was a very safe and careful driver. The cable car ride and views from the top were amazing. Au the top, we met up with a kind resident of el Paraiso who shared some of his experiences. Overall, this was a great experience and David really cared about my comfort and about the people in the community. I highly recommend David as a tour guide.
