You want to learn why Colombian coffee is so delicious. You would love to be able to evaluate coffee the way professionals do and make your daily coffee routine even more satisfying. And you want to understand Colombia’s fascinating coffee history and what coffee means to Colombians. How sad it would be to leave Colombia and still not understand how coffee has affected the lives of millions of people here. Learn the real meaning of coffee in Colombia with us! We've been coffee educators since 2014. During this walking experience in one of Bogota's best restaurant districts, your guide, a certified coffee expert, will tell you about the history of coffee up to innovative coffee brewing methods. You'll learn to appreciate the special characteristics of the coffees you'll taste and what makes Colombia an ideal country to grow coffee. We'll also do a professional-style coffee tasting at each shop visited. Our public workshops are only in English.

    Our workshops include stops at three different specialty coffee shops in the Chapinero neighborhood of Bogota. At the first coffee shop we will do a coffee tasting and discuss important highlights of the history of coffee in Colombia, why coffee tastings are important, and how you can taste coffee like the pros do.

    At the second coffee shop we will also do a tasting to find the special characteristics in the coffee. But at this stop we'll discuss where coffee is grown in Colombia and why it is so important to millions of coffee growers. We'll also discuss how roasting affects what you get in the cup.

    At the third shop we'll talk about how coffee is grown and processed and the surprising ways that changes the coffees taste and other characteristics. We'll do our final coffee tasting and focus on developing your personalized coffee profile.

This was the best tour! First of all, the cafes that they took us to were SO cute and cool. I ended up buying something from each of them. They were awesome choices and the coffees we tried were really really good, and notably unique. Most importantly, our tour guide Daniela was so so awesome. She was sweet, fun, a great facilitator, but then also incredibly knowledgeable about Colombian coffee/coffee in general. She was super intentional and made sure that we got to try coffee from the northern Colombian coffee region, the Bogota region, and the southern region. She explained the general differences between the coffees that each region produces and taught us so much about coffee and tasting. Our group was so into it and couldn't stop asking questions, all of which Daniela was well prepared to answer or comment on. The schedule was great, the flow of the tour was great, the walking wasn't too much. Very well organized and structured. Overall it was the best experience. I learned an insane amount about coffee, tasting, Colombia, and many other things. Our group of 5 was small, but big enough to get chatty and share questions and personal experiences with each other. Overall it was an awesome day and I'd absolutely recommend this tour to anyone. We loved it!

An invaluable experience. Absolutely wonderful. Daniela was an engaging, knowledgeable, and an overall great guide. We left with a new found love for coffee and Colombia. I usually am skeptical about tripadvisor activities, but this one is a gem. Thank you Daniela. Keep it up!
